Pottery Workshop

Learn Pottery with Channel 4’s Great Pottery Throw Down contestants Dan and Ed! 

Show finalist Dan Sandham and fellow contestant Ed King will demonstrating how to throw pottery, then offering have-a-go sessions! Get hands on, with the professionals off TV! 

Note, the workshop is to have a go, no clay products can be kept. 

Extreme BMX & Mountainboarding Display

This is the only show of its kind in the world, it’s fresh, new and has never been seen before until now! Coming to Dorset Spring Show, the display combine freestyle BMX and the extreme sport of mountainboarding which results in a breath-taking, jaw dropping ariel performance which is suitable for audiences of all ages. 

Watch the displays on both days of Dorset Spring Show in the BMX Arena at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 & 16:00. 

Bees 

The Bees are vital to plants, flowers and everything that blooms in the Spring! 

Visit the Bee tent to have a go at wax candle rolling, learn about beekeeping, pollinating plants, take part in honey tasting and learn about the impact of the Asian Hornet.

The Sheep Show

Introducing the Ewe-nique stage fun filled stage show presenting 9 different breeds of Sheep – that dance! 

Audience participation is welcomed and you will be falling about laughing while learning all about sheep and wool.

Axemen

Watch the skills of the forester and woodman before the modern machinery. See amazing accuracy and speed of wood chopping with razor sharp axes and saws. 

Watch the Lumberjack Demonstrations in the Axemen Arena at 11:30 & 15:00 on both days of Dorset Spring Show. 

Falconry 

The thrilling display team will showcase the prowess of some of the birds of prey from Dorset Falconry Park.  

Flying into the Spring Arena, don’t miss the these stunning birds! When not in the skies, you can visit them nearby to the Arena.

Watch the Falconry in the Handlesbanken Spring Arena on both days at 10:15 & 13:30. 

Terrier Racing

Think your dog has what it takes to be crowned a winner? Then why not enter into this crowd roaring race? Entry is free and every dog is welcome! Just turn up at the Spring Arena and have a go! You may even win a rosette. 

Watch or enter the Terrier Racing in the Handlesbanken Spring Arena on both days at 09:30, 12:45, 16:00. 

Gundogs

Food & Drink Village 

The Food Hall and The Village is the area for delicious Dorset treats. Food & Drink to try and buy to take home to use in the kitchen, and to enjoy onsite to the sounds of the Music Stage.

Visit the Demonstration Theatre during Dorset Spring Show to watch, learn and listen to fascinating Dorset demonstrators in floral, horticulture cookery, baking and more! The theatre is located in the Food & Drink Village.

Maggie Richardson (Maggie the Seaside Baker)

As seen on Great British Bake Off!

Maggie appeared on the Great British Bake Off in 2021, and most recently on a special that aired on New Years Day 2024. She has been a keen baker all of her life, and will be showcasing some of her skills and recipes on both days of Dorset Spring Show. 

Fedora Flowers

Sophia Easton and Claire Whiting are the floral designers and flower growers who started Fedora Flowers in August 2023.

They bring to the floral market fresh, seasonally cut flowers for all occasions grown at their locations in Weymouth and Dorchester. 

Fedora Flower’s aim is to bring British grown blooms back into vases across the South West. 

They are proud members of “Flowers from the Farm” a movement of British flower growers whose aim is to reduce the carbon footprint of the flower industry. 

Sophie & Claire will be demonstrating on both days of the Dorset Spring Show. 

Dorset Dried Flowers

Dorset Dried Flowers creates home decor, gifts and styles weddings and events all with dried flowers. Catherine Ramm is the owner and stylist and runs her business from her workshop in Corfe Castle, Dorset. 

Her love of dried flowers has spanned many years and she enjoys sharing her knowledge and skill with others. Come along and watch her create a spring dried flower wreath and learn more about growing, drying and creating with dried flowers. 

Visit Catherine and Dorset Dried Flowers over the Dorset Spring Show weekend and watch her demonstrate in the Demo Theatre.
