The Dorset County Show has announced that this September Big Pete and The Grim Reaper Monster Trucks will crush their way into the Main Ring!

Revving their engines, squashing cars and doing some damage. These mechanical giants need no introduction, you will hear them before you see them! Big Pete is the world’s only real monster truck, at 16ft tall and 12ft wide, weighing an impressive 7.5 tonnes it’s able to crush anything in its path. Big is an understatement for Pete, jumping 15ft in the air is a sight to see! Meanwhile, The Grim Reaper is lighter at 4.5 tonnes, being a modern looking Monster Truck with a hint of sparkle in its bodywork.

Alongside Monster Trucks crushing cars, The Dorset County Show has announced an exciting refresh to the long standing annual Event. This includes a new layout to explore, a range of new attractions including an Axemen Ring while expanding their promotion of Great British Food & Drink with a special focus on Dorset Produce via a new Food & Drink Area. In recent years local crafts have become more prominent with many of us taking up new hobbies, the Show hopes to showcase these individuals with the introduction of new trading opportunities.

James Cox, Organiser of the Show said “The Show, like us all has gone through a lot in recent years and therefore now was the right time to have a rethink with some new areas and attractions. This year, our adaptions truly ensure we showcase Agriculture, Countryside, Rural Life and the incredible Food, Drink and Crafts produced within it. The County Show will celebrate everything rural Dorset has to offer on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd September 2023”.
